Ok here we are again, in some dunky old internet bar where it smells like pipi.

Bon, we took the tourist bus (viazul, airco) accompanied by voice of Ramon, our tour guide during the ride. A most unwanted passenger for Koen who just wanted to continue his good night sleep, but apparently the ladies enjoyed his 'jokes' and english/french slips of the tongue..

at arrival we checked out three different casas and went for the last one. Vinales is a small mountain/valley village, only three main streets, nevertheless more than 300 casas particulares. We managed to get a good price, including breakfast, for our three day stay. Untill now we had two dinners at the casa, which brought along some intestinal problems for all of us. The butter tray is always at hand in the kitchen while the adorable grandma prepares food...

We were lucky to be at the right time at the right place because it was carnaval in town. Lot's of music and drinking, dirty dancing and tourist hassling- no me molester, por favor!

luckely the ladies have their personal chaperonne;-)

We met a lovely canadian couple, bonnie and charlie, who took us for a short roadtrip to puerto esperanza, in the pouring rain. it was nice and cooling afternoon.

Today we got up at 6am, hiked to hotel Jasmines, and enjoyed the morning sunset of the valley. after we signed up for a 3 hour walk in the national park with a guide, julius cesar (not kidding!!) muy buenito!

to wrap up the day we paid a visit to the breathtaking botanical garden. tomorrow morning we're leaving. god knows where to.

Hasta lluego!!
