So we took the night bus to Santiago de Cuba. And headed straight on to Baracoa.

Arrived around noon and were immediatly 'welcomed' by a flock of locals trying to rent their casa to us, offering us a ride, chocolate, girls, ... some of them were really convincing;-)

Eventually we decided to stay in the casa of Rosi and Ivan the big black guy, which ended up not to be a mistake. Anyway, cucarachas are to be found everywhere in cuba;-)

Two planned nights became five because Baracoa was such a charming little town that had it all: nature, beach, nightlife, (culture), ...

Went to climb El Junque, the table-top mountain 750m, 2 hours to the top- magnificent view!! Afterwards, on the way back down, we had the chance to cool down in the river- niceee. Enjoyed the company of our 2 Norwegian friends, rented a bike (a shitty one), visited the chocolate factory, inaugarated by El Che

Day after we went to Maguana beach, one of the best playas until now (and we ve seen our share

Day three, la cueva del agua, arranged and guided by the local taxi boy Wilson- difficult to get there, especially on your flip flops! But definately worth while!

Then back to the jungle, the next day, for two of us (Nele choose the less tiring comfort of the beach Went to the Alexander Von Humboldt Parc, Unesco protected rain forest- incredible nature and ofcourse the obligatory waterfall swim included:-0

Really glad to have visited this town, now officially our favourite destination in cuba!!

Santa Clara, where Che is barried and honoured.. Visited this city after a 15 hour exhausting Viazul airco bus trip- Viva la revolucion siempre!!

Now back in Varadero, for our last three days- only two words: ALL INCLUSIVE
